FIRST QUARTER

Drive: 15 plays, 65 yards, 7:21 Key play: Consecutive false-start penalties by Florida forced the Gators into a first-and-20 and slowed the momentum of their opening drive that ate over half the first-quarter clock.

FLORIDA 3, TENNESSEE 0

SECOND QUARTER

FL — Pineiro 41-yard field goal, 8:11 Drive: 7 plays, 32 yards, 3:46 Key play: A 16-yard run up the middle by Mark Thompson on third-and-23 put Florida back in field-goal range after Darrell Taylor sacked Gators quarterback Feleipe Franks for a 15-yard loss on the previous play.

Drive: 12 plays, 42 yards, 5:13 Key play: The Vols were in danger of going three-and-out for a third consecutive series when quarterback Quinten Dormady found freshman receiver Josh Palmer in tight coverage for an 11-yard completion to keep the drive alive.

After the Vols’ Justin Martin forced a touchdown-saving fumble on the previous play, Kelly ran 18 yards to set the tone for a desperately needed Tennessee touchdown.
