Peggy Ann Thomas

Peggy Ann Thomas, 70, of Hixson, passed away Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017, in an area health care facility.

Peggy was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga and was retired from Krystal with 20 years of service. She was a member of St Elmo Avenue Baptist Church.

Peggy was a daughter of the late Edward and Jessie Hicks and was also preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas; and two sisters, Dolores Rapier and Loretta Moore.

Survivors include her son, Jimmy (Tiffany) Thomas, Flintstone, Ga.; daughter, Shelly (Tony) Sewell, Chatsworth, Ga.; two sisters, Carolyn (Bill) Johnson, Hixson; Teresa (Sherry) Hicks, Ooltewah; three grandchildren, Brooke Chandler, Chattanooga; Kayla Sewell, Chatsworth; Jordyn Thomas, Flintstone, Ga.; three great-grandchildren, Keegan Chandler, Kameron Chandler, Adalynn Blanton; special nephew, Corbin Wallin and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Sean Landes officiating.

Interment will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
