BLEDSOE COUNTY WARRIORS (3-4, 0-2) POLK COUNTY AT WILDCATS (3-4, 1-1)

-

Storyline: It’s a long ride — there’s no real easy way to get from Pikeville to Benton — but the stakes are high. Both teams have a good shot at making the playoffs. A Polk win tonight could assure the Wildcats of a third-place finish in Region 3-2A, although they still must play Marion County, which is currently second. For the Warriors, two wins — tonight and against Tellico Plains on Oct. 27 — could assure them of a No. 3 finish. Tellico Plains is winless in the region and faces region leader Tyner tonight. Both the Warriors and the Wildcats love to run the football, although Polk has shown at least some ability to throw.
