Ruby Wrinkle, 96, of Chattanoog­a, passed away peacefully on Oct. 18, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.

Ruby was born in Alabama to the late Frank and Pearl Griffen Howard. She was a devoted lifetime member of Brainerd Hills Baptist Church and Ruth’s Sunday School class. She served the church in many capacities over her life with her many talents. She was an incredible cook and patient teacher. She enjoyed bringing her family together for wonderful home cooked meals. She was blessed with many gifts and had a passion for creating beautiful things through her artwork, handwoven rugs, clothes and her gardening of beautiful flowers. Above all she was most proud of her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Paul W Wrinkle Sr.; two sisters, Pat Gibson and Josie Moore; and three brothers, Paul, John and Woodrow Howard.

She is survived by her children, Pamela Galbreath and Paul W Wrinkle Jr.; her only granddaugh­ter, Lauren (Les) Conner; her only great-grandchild and pride and joy, Lillian Maclain Hixson; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 20, in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Richard Mason officiatin­g. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
