Ray heads Medicare plans at BlueCross
BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee has promoted Todd Ray to senior vice president of its Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement programs.
Ray, who most recently served as the company’s vice president of senior products, will be responsible for the overall performance and management of all Medicare Advantage and Medicare supplemental product lines.
Ray has worked in the health insurance industry for more than 20 years. He joined BlueCross in 2013 as director of product strategy, where he was responsible for development and design of senior products. Under Ray’s leadership, enrollment in the company’s Medicare Advantage plans grew to more than 100,000 members in 2016. BlueCross remains the fastest growing Medicare Advantage carrier in Tennessee.
“Todd’s knowledge and leadership will be a vital asset to the senior leadership team and the continued growth and improvement of our Medicare Advantage line,” said Scott Pierce, chief operating officer at BlueCross.
Ray earned a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Health Care Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Management from the University of Louisville. He holds the Certified Health Insurance Executive designation and a Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.
