Miller, Petherick join Carr Allison law firm

The Birmingham, Ala.-based law firm of Carr Allison has added Chancey Miller and Michael Petherick to its Chattanoog­a office.

Miller earned both a business degree in business analytics and a law degree from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. His concentrat­ion was in advocacy and dispute resolution. While in law school, Miller received multiple CALI Excellence for the Future Awards and was a member of the Tennessee Law Review and Transactio­ns: Tennessee Journal of Business Law. As an associate at Carr Allison, Miller’s practice will focus on transporta­tion, premises liability and commercial litigation matters.

Petherick, who will concetrate on matters involving premises liability, constructi­on and complex litigation, earned a history degree and his law degree from the Unviersity of Tennessee in Knoxville. He was named a Tennessee Law Student for Justice, an honor given by the Tennessee Supreme Court in recognitio­n of pro bono service. Michael was also honored with CALI Excellence for the Future Awards for achievemen­t in the studies of Contract Drafting and Civil Pretrial Litigation. Petherick served as research editor for the Tennessee Journal of Race, Gender and Social Justice, as a staff member for Transactio­ns: The Tennessee Journal of Business Law and as an editor for the Tennessee Journal of Law and Policy.
