TractManager purchases Pa. company
A company with major operations in Chattanooga that monitors and controls contract management for hospitals has acquired a Pennsylvania business that does research on health plans, insurers and hospitals.
TractManager Inc. has bought Hayes Inc., which is based outside of Philadelphia and employs 70 people. The purchase price wasn’t disclosed.
With the acquisition, TractManager’s headcount is 295 employees with more than 100 workers in Chattanooga.
Trace Devanny, TractManager’s chief executive, said Hayes “uniquely supports providers and payers with the quality, outcomes, and comparative effectiveness data they need to make fact-based decisions.”
He said in a statement that Hayes deepens TractManager’s professional services sourcing portfolio and expands the market opportunities for its contract management solutions.
Sandra L. Taylor, TractManager’s chief marketing officer, said no one with Hayes will be relocated. She said the Hayes acquisition will help support the company’s Chattanooga client base.
Winifred S. Hayes, founder and CEO of Hayes, said the aim was to secure the company’s future. “TractManager is that home,” said Hayes. Donald A. Deieso, chairman of TractManager’s board and operating partner for New York-based private equity firm Arsenal Capital Partners, said Hayes is “a true visionary” who anticipated the need for evidence-based data to support clinical decisions.
TractManager has been in Chattanooga for about a decade and a half. It made a big move almost three years ago when it acquired Dallas-based MD Buyline, which provides hospitals with planning, budgeting and purchasing decisions.
