Robert ³Bob´ +ouston 6y lar 6r. also known as 7ooney or Bob or Dad , a lifelong Chattanooga resident, died on 1ov. 2 , 201 .

+e was born to the late Bert Lee and Eola May Jolley 6ylar. Bob battled kid ney disease for 2 years. Bob went to McCallie 6chool and received a Bach elor¶s degree from 8niversity of Chattanooga. Bob worked at Provident Life Insurance Company for 30 years, but was an antique dealer at heart.

Bob¶s life long hobby was learning about the an tiques he sold, refinishing furniture, and meeting people at )lea Markets in the 6outh East.

Bob served in the 8.6. Air )orce for years.

+umor was a trait that best described Bob 6ylar. Always one to tell a Moke, his dry wit was appreciated by anyone who met him. Bob would challenge you to name a sub Mect and he could tell a Moke about it.

Bob was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia L. Pack 1 , of 6pring City, 7enn.

+e is survived by his wife, Mary Jane 6ylar, of 2oltewah, 7enn. daughter, 6herry 6ylar and her spouse, Roxanne Ad ams, of 1ew <ork son, Rob ert +. 6ylar Jr. and his spouse, Amie 6ylar, of Chattanooga grandson, Patrick Robert 6y lar, of Chattanooga sisters, Betty 6tocker and Ethelwyn Arnold nephews, Mike 6tock er, 7im and Peter Arnold, nieces, 6usan 6tocker, Wendy Arnold, all of Chattanooga and 10 stepgrandchildren.

7here will be celebration of his life at a later date.
