FEED CO. IS BUILT ON

Feed Co. Table & Tavern opened on the Southside two and a half years ago. And business is good — though, that may be an understate­ment.

“It’s a beast!” said co-owner Miguel Morales.

And the success of the restaurant, he said, is largely due to its diners.

“We can only knock it out of the park so many times,” said Miguel. “I don’t know it all so [diners] have to tell me what they want.”

In fact, Feed was built on community feedback. The restaurant opened with just a small core menu. Then, Miguel and his crew took time to listen to the wants of the diners.

“We sat with every table and said, ‘What do you like? What do you want to see?’” Miguel said.

From there, its menu expanded — along with its beer and wine list — and both continue to grow and change as diners present new ideas.

“Innovation is constant change,” Miguel said. “People call me; they text me ideas. Their voices are heard and they really feel that a piece of this place is their own.”

But he couldn’t run Feed without his invaluable team, said Miguel.

“We have a crazy big team, way bigger than usual, and they are awesome at providing concentrat­ed service,” he said.

Indeed, said Miguel, there is much to be thankful for this time of year.
