Hullco buys Window Works in Dalton
In its first acquisition in its 40-year history, Hullco Inc. has acquired Window Works in Dalton, Ga., and added Window Works founder David Majetich to its staff as a production manager.
Matt Hullander, owner of Hullco, said Majetich “has been operating a solid business in the Dalton area” since 2004 and “his values are in line with ours here at Hullco.”
The merger should help expand Hullco’s footprint in Northwest Georgia and comes six months after the company expanded in July into the Knoxville market.
For his part, Majetich said he approached Hullco because “we share the same core values of integrity and quality” and “the timing was right to come together.”
Since its founding in 1977 by Bill Hullander, now Hamilton County’s trustee, Hullco has grown organically on its own and previously has not bought other firms.
“We are excited to welcome David Majetich to Hullco’s leadership team,” said Matt Hullander, the son of the company founder. “For 40 years, we’ve provided a level of service that is different than the rest. And, when you’re from Tennessee, that means something special.”
Hullco will begin notifying prior Window Works customers in the coming weeks.
Majetich received his training in the field of doors, windows and siding
while working with a homebuilder in Kansas City, first as an apprentice, then as an installer, before he started Window Works 13 years ago in Dalton.
“We felt like our business in the Dalton area was still underserved and this gave us a chance to help us grow with a business that shares our values,” said Christi Broom, marketing coordinator for Hullco.
Hullco Inc. was founded in 1977 and offers replacement windows, entry doors, siding, sunrooms, decking, screen rooms, roofing, and bath solutions products. Hullco has 32 employees in Chattanooga and has added other workers in Knoxville where the company is preparing to open a new office.
