Knox man accused with enticing teen girl, child porn

- BY JAMIE SATTERFIELD

A Knoxville man is accused of luring a teenage girl into a sadistic, voyeuristic online relationship, including convincing her to pose nude in a video chat room so his friends could watch “Monday Night Cindy” instead of Monday Night Football, court records show.

Dustin Schaud Fox, 27, is charged in U.S. District Court with enticing a minor to engage in sexual activity and possession of child pornography. Defense attorney Gregory P. Isaacs confirmed Friday he had been hired by Fox but declined comment.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Matthew Morris sought an indictment against Fox last month after an investigation by the Knoxville Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Waxahachie, Texas, Police Department. He is being held without bond.

ICAC Investigator Michelle Evans detailed the case against Fox in an affidavit. His alleged victim is referred to in the affidavit by the pseudonym “Cindy.”

Evans wrote that Cindy was a 14-year-old girl living in Waxahachie, Texas, when she first encountered Fox online.

“Cindy first met Fox by clicking on a link on Facebook that directed her to an adult chat room when she was 14 years old,” the affidavit stated.

Fox initially sent the girl “innocent photos” but soon began sending her explicit photos and pushing her to do the same.

“Fox then started attempting to make Cindy believe that the two of them were in love and made her believe that she needed to gain his approval,” the affidavit stated.

Cindy’s mother had set parental controls on her daughter’s computer, but Evans wrote that Fox schooled Cindy on ways to defeat the controls and cover the tracks of their online relationship.

As the two continued to interact online, Fox grew more demanding and more threatening, the affidavit stated. At one point, he threatened to kill his own dog and himself if she dated someone else, Evans wrote.

“As they started communicating online more, Fox shared with Cindy he was sadistic, and Cindy started becoming afraid of Fox,” Evans wrote. “Fox told Cindy he liked to ‘beat people up,’ and he would ‘beat her up’ if he saw Cindy in real life.”

Fox forced the girl to pose nude for photos and videos and convinced her to use a variety of objects in a sexual manner, the affidavit stated. One video later recovered by law enforcement showed the girl crying in pain as she tried to comply with one of his demands, Evans wrote.
