Newspaper: Man who killed officer anti government
ATLANTA — A newspaper reports that a man suspected of killing a police officer before dying in a shootout with authorities in Georgia held anti-government views.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said Tierre Guthrie was killed at his home in a shootout Saturday that began when sheriff ’s deputies tried to serve a warrant for failing to appear in court for traffic violations. Also killed was Locust Grove Police Officer Chase Maddox. Two deputies were injured.
