CBL promotes managers, adds to executive staff

CBL Properties has appointed Mike Harrison as executive vice president of operations and Alan Lebovitz as executive vice president of management.

“Mike and Alan have establishe­d themselves as leaders within CBL in their respective fields and the shopping center industry. We are pleased to recognize their accomplish­ments and significan­t contributi­ons to the company,” said CBL Chief Executive Stephen Lebovitz.

CBL also announced two promotions within the management division. Don Sewell has been promoted to senior vice president of management and Dan Wolfe to vice president of management.

In addition, Jim Ward has been appointed to vice president of innovation and new business ventures and will lead a new initiative for CBL that includes a focus on generating income from new revenue streams.

Additional­ly, Brian Lutz was promoted to senior director of marketing and retailer services and will continue to lead CBL’s digital media team and focus on broader marketing strategies across the portfolio.

In late 2013, Harrison joined CBL to provide leadership and oversight of new strategic initiative­s and technology solutions with the goal of improving CBL’s operations. CBL launched this program, dubbed CBL 2.0, in January 2014, and the first phase became fully operationa­l in October 2015.

Alan Lebovitz joined CBL in 1995 serving various roles in management, leasing and developmen­t. In 2002, he was promoted to vice president of asset management and in 2009 to senior vice president of asset management. In June 2017, he assumed the role as head of CBL’s management division in addition to overseeing CBL’s third party and asset management division.

Sewell joined CBL in 1973 as general manager of Heartland Mall in Brownwood, Texas. In 1986, he moved to Chattanoog­a and became director of operations for malls. In 2000, Don was promoted to vice president of mall management.

Wolfe joined CBL in 1999, and prior to joining CBL’s home office management staff in 2016, he served as general manager of several CBL properties in the Southeast.

In 1998, Ward joined CBL as assistant manager at Hickory Hollow Mall in Nashville. In 2006, he was promoted to director of sponsorshi­p, and later promoted to vice president of marketing & digital strategies.

Lutz joined CBL in 2004 as an assistant marketing director at Parkdale Mall in Beaumont, Texas. In 2014, he was promoted to director of digital strategies.
