The Southeastern Conference is set to launch SiriusXM SEC Radio, which will be dedicated to league sports 24 hours a day and seven days a week.

Every game of next week’s SEC men’s basketball tournament in St. Louis will be on the new audio channel, which debuts Monday.

SiriusXM subscribers will be able to listen to SiriusXM SEC Radio on channel 374, and those with streaming access can listen online with the SiriusXM mobile app and at home on a variety of connected devices, including smart TVs, Amazon Alexa, Apple TV, PlayStation, Roku and Sonos speakers.

The programming lineup will include “SEC This Morning” with Peter Burns and former LSU defensive end Marcus Spears each weekday from 7 to 10 a.m. Eastern. Chris Childers and former Florida receiver Chris Doering will host “SEC Today” every weekday from 3 to 6 p.m. Each weeknight from 6 to 10, the SEC Network’s “Paul Finebaum Show” will be replayed.

Additional hosts and analysts who will be a part of the channel include former Auburn football coach Gene Chizik, Senior Bowl executive director Phil Savage, former Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray and former Georgia offensive tackle Matt Stinchcomb.

SiriusXM SEC Radio also will provide news conferences during football season, coverage of SEC media days in July and classic SEC game broadcasts.

‘Me, me, me, me, me’

Georgia football coach Kirby Smart compiled the nation’s consensus No. 1 signing class last month, but he shared some of the challenges this week as the guest speaker of the Anderson (S.C) Area Touchdown Club.

“I’ve got the great fortune of going into a million high schools a year,” Smart told the gathering. “I get to meet coaches and talk to coaches and talk to teachers, but when I meet these kids, more and more this day and age, it is 100 percent, ‘Can I get an offer, Coach? Can I tweet on Twitter? Can I put everything on social media?’

“It is ‘me, me, me, me, me,’ and that’s not what this sport was built on. We make our freshmen take a course in humility when they get here that first summer.”
