OH, WHAT A NIGHT!

CATCH ‘JERSEY BOYS’ IN THE TIVOLI THEATRE

- STAFF REPORT

It’s not December 1963, but oh, what a night is in store when the North American tour of “Jersey Boys” stops in the Tivoli Theatre for four performances Friday through Sunday, March 9-11.

“Jersey Boys” tells the rise to stardom of four singers from New Jersey — just your average guys until they sang their first note. They had a sound nobody had heard before — and radio couldn’t get enough of it. They wrote their own songs, invented their own sound and sold 175 million records worldwide — all before they turned 30.

But while their harmony was perfect onstage, there was a very different story offstage.

Canadian Jonny Wexler plays Frankie Valli, Corey Greenan is Tommy DeVito, Chris Stevens is Nick Massi and Tommaso Antico is Bob Gaudio.

The Tony Awardwinning musical follows their rise from the streets of New Jersey to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Along the way the audience will hear legendary Four Seasons’ hits such as “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Walk Like a Man,” “Can’t Take My Eyes of You,” “December, 1963 (Oh, What a Night)” and “My Eyes Adored You.”

Their story is just too good to be true.

“Jersey Boys” is not recommended for all ages. The show contains gun shots, strobe lights, drug references, sexual situations and profane “authentic Jersey language ,” according to the national tour’s website.
