BARRY COURTER: Lisa, do you remember the time I told you about comedian Jeff Foxworthy and the woman who opened a conversation with: “A raccoon bit off my brother’s nipple”?

LISA DENTON: I remember you telling me that his response to her was: “You have my attention.” Because, well, yeah.

BARRY: Ed Zachary. While perusing the calendar of events this week, I came upon an event title that grabbed my attention — “Goat Yoga.” You just don’t see those two words strung together on purpose very often. Not amongst civilized folks, anyway.

LISA: I’m teaching mine to play Frisbee. Naaaaaaah, just kidding.

Actually, Goat Yoga is a national trend that has been documented by major media outlets. This particular session is at Mending Arrow Ranch in Cleveland.

BARRY: Right, it’s a fundraiser for the facility, and I understand it’s proven to be quite popular. So much so, the first, and the second sessions, sold out in no time. Mending Arrow helps kids heal through animal therapy.

Apparently, the goats are not the ones who do the yoga, though I’d pay a dollar to see that. Instead baby goats are allowed to mingle with the humans as they do yoga. I don’t care who you are, baby goats are just fun, and I believe that’s the point.

LISA: Yes, I have a friend who raises goats, and she thinks when I visit it’s to see her.

BARRY: It’s another busy week on the music calendar as well. On Friday, California Guitar Trio returns to Songbirds. They are truly amazing. And the Wood Brothers are at the Walker Theatre that night as well. Also very good.

LISA: And the Chattanooga Symphony & Opera will present “Women Rock” as the next Pops concert Saturday. They’ll have music by Carole King, Tina Turner, Janis Joplin, Aretha Franklin and Pat Benatar,

among others.

I love me some Tina Turner. She was the reason I permed my hair back in the ’80s. You should me hear me sing along to “River Deep, Mountain High” … Or “Proud Mary” … Or “Better Be Good to Me.” Well, you get the idea. Let’s just say I wore out a few of her CDs back in the day.

BARRY: I’m right there with you when it comes to Tina, though I didn’t perm my hair. Lawd, I’d look like some sort of giant dandelion out of a Sid & Marty Krofft cartoon.

And if you need further proof that spring is not far off, the Lookouts FanFest is Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at AT&T Field. Fans can purchase their season tickets there, but also tour the facility and win prizes.

You can also audition to sing the national anthem at an upcoming game.

LISA: I’ll do it if they let me dress like Tina. And bring a goat.
