Correction

A story that appeared on Page B2 in Monday’s edition about a Signal Mountain group opposing a proposed water department takeover incorrectly stated that Walden’s Ridge Utility District previously had expressed interest only in managing Signal Mountain’s water system. The district had expressed interest in either buying or managing the system. The article also incorrectly stated the utility district had pledged not to impose any rate increases for at least five years if it acquired the system. No such pledge has been made.
