James Reeves
James “Jim” Alfred Reeves, 84, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2018.
Mr. Reeves retired from TVA after many years of service as a machinist, a member of Red Bank Baptist Church and a former member of Sequoyah Baptist Tabernacle. He loved his Sunday School Class, enjoyed gardening, NASCAR and bowling.
Jim was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Reeves; daughter, Kathy Cravets; and granddaughter, Kristi Tipton.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Icell Campbell Reeves; daughters, Melissa (Danny) Quevedo, of Longwood, Fla., Janie (Michael) Morton, of Georgia, Jean (Ricky) Phillips, of Hixson, and Teresa (Larry) Mullins, of Soddy-Daisy; grandchildren, Jamie (John) Upton and Chesa (Jeremy) Bailey, of Dalton, Ga., Cayce (Joe) Broker and Leslie (Zak) Spuler, of Apopka, Fla., and Christopher (Margie) Quevedo, of Orlando, Fla., David Loyd, of Florida, Dusty (Mandy) Mullins, of Soddy-Daisy, Josh Phillips and Jacob (Danielle) Phillips, Mandy (John) Keedy, of Hixson, and Matthew Loyd, of Minnesota; great-grandchildren, Katelyn Locke, Barrett Upton, and Ashley Upton, of Dalton, Cylin Broker, of Apopka, Fla., Beckham Dyer, of Dalton, Ga., Jackson Starnes, Balyn Keedy, Mason Mullins, Peyton Mullins and Carter Phillips; son-in-law, Bruce Cravets; daughter-inlaw, Delesa Greene; special friend, Dr. Donald Ziegler.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 22, 2018, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. David Stancil and Rev. Bill Harvey officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton County Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
