Tribute comedy band Yacht Rock Revue docks at The Signal.

SATURDAY

Blurring the lines between a tribute band, an original act and a comedy troupe, the Yacht Rock Revue has forged a unique niche playing ’70s light rock.

The band’s spot-on renditions of Hall & Oates, Michael McDonald, Steely Dan and the rest of the Time-Life infomercial catalog have enthralled fans on land and water. They’ve taken their act to the high seas, performing showcase sets on music cruises with Weezer, Kid Rock, Train, Zac Brown Band, Sister Hazel and more.

Saturday night, March 31, Yacht Rock Revue docks at The Signal, 1810 Chestnut St., for a show at 8:30 p.m.

The Atlanta band is comprised of Mark Cobb, Nicholas Niespodziani, Peter Olson, Mark Bencuya, Greg Lee, Mark Dannells and Dave Freeman. They’ve won accolades ranging from “Best Place to Get Drunk With Your Dad” to “Best Overall Music Act in Atlanta.”

Members of the band have played with members of Weezer, Billy Joel, Walter Egan, .38 Special, John Mayer, Zac Brown Band, Little River Band, Sheryl Crow, Noel Gallagher, Starbuck, Sarah McLachlan, Don Henley, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Neil Finn, Jellyfish, Devo, Nine Inch Nails, Joan Jett, Wet Willie, Bon Jovi, Skid Row and the Saturday Night Live Band.

Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at door.
