Buyers in the market for both beautiful land and a chance to upgrade a home to their tastes need to see this gem just across the Catoosa County line. This three bedroom, two bath home sits on 17 acres and offers tranquility and the potential for your own custom retreat.

“The attraction to that property is the land,” said Elaine Boyd Osby with Berkshire Hathaway Home-Services Realty Center. “The house was built in 1964 and needs some updating, but it does feature hardwood floors throughout, vinyl siding for easy maintenance, and a den with a wood-burning fireplace.”

The home also offers buyers a partial unfinished basement that’s really great for storage along with a roughed in bathroom that’s ideal for those coming in from working the land outside.

A beautiful 2-acre lake is spring fed with two creeks on the property and was designed with the help and consultation of engineers and agricultural experts. Osby shared that owners always kept it stocked. Depths in the lake range from 8-10 feet.

The area around the home is largely a farming community with other adjoining properties raising cattle and other livestock, and Osby pointed out that there’s also a well on site that did once water a set of chicken houses and a green house, so there’s even more potential for hopeful farmers to get those up and started again.

“It’s just such a beautiful setting there,” she said. “It’s a good retreat for those that are gearing down or those looking to return to growing their own produce and farming.”
