› Scenic City Chorale: The 50-voice ensemble will sing choral music, from religious to light classical, in concert at 3 p.m. Sunday at Pleasant Hill Community Church, just off Main Street on Church Drive in Pleasant Hill, Tenn. in Cumberland County. The concert is free, but donations will help fund future concerts at the church.

› Handel’s “Messiah”: The Chattanoog­a Bach Choir & Orchestra will present George Frederick Handel’s oratorio “Messiah” (complete) at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at First Christian Church, 650 McCallie Ave. Soloists will be Maria Rist (soprano), Jack DuRoy (boy soprano), Andrea Dismukes (alto), Blaine Tooley (tenor) and Matthew Hoch (bass). › Glory Road benefit: His Call Gospel Ministries will sponsor a gospel concert and mini revival, with singing, preaching and barbecue, 11 a.m.-8 p.m. April 21 to help raise funds for Glory Road Baptist Church, 3336 Lakeview Drive in Rossville. Performers include Living Right Trio, Deborah Sansing, Clarence Garrett, The Mays Family, His Call Gospel Singers, Rose Whitaker, Renee Barton, Howard Yarbrough and the Carpenter’s Praise Band. › Farewell Musical Tribute: Dr. Roderick L. Ware, senior pastor of New Monumental Baptist Church, who is leaving Chattanoog­a, will be honored in musical services at 6 p.m. April 21 in the banquet hall of Greater Tucker Missionary Baptist Church, 1115 N. Moore Road. Ticket deadline is Sunday. During the service, he will receive a White House-bestowed President’s Volunteer Service Award for Lifetime Achievemen­t, the highest honor given to active citizens for their contributi­ons to the nation. › Open house: Peavine Baptist Church will host an open-house celebratio­n at its newest campus, 100 Spring St. in Rossville, 12:30-2 p.m. Sunday. A ribbon-cutting will take place at 1:45 p.m., rain or shine, with several local dignitarie­s in attendance.
