Country music and dancing at Camp House

- STAFF REPORT

Enjoy an evening of live country music and dancing when Nashville sister duo Presley & Taylor perform at The Camp House, 149 E. M.L. King Blvd., on Saturday, April 28. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.; show is 8 to 11 p.m.

Raised in a small farm town in New England, the sisters spent much of their childhood listening to traditional country music by Tammy Wynette, Alan Jackson, Randy Travis and Tanya Tucker. They released their first EP, “All Kinds of Beautiful,” when they were just 14 and 16 years old.

The sisters really didn’t consider a music career until an “a-ha moment” in 2009.

“We just knew we wanted to sing together; so we practiced along with songs on the radio. After years of listening to and learning from our family, the harmonies just fell out of the sky when we were singing along to ‘The House That Built Me,’” they say in a news release. “We’re best friends. We can completely be ourselves with one another; we get each other and we trust one another. Often times, we’ll look at one another and know exactly what the other is thinking. We’ll even finish each other’s sentences. A lot of people think we’re twins because we are just so in tune with one another.”

Tickets to A Night of Live Country Music and Dancing are $10. There will be a cash bar and light-fare menu.
