Marvin Adams
Marvin J. Adams, 88, of Soddy Daisy died Saturday, April 28, 2018, at his home. He was born June 28, 1929, in Lupton City, Tenn. to the late James Horace and Lizzie Mae Adams.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty McAllister Adams; sons Marvin Edward “Ed” Adams and Charles “Charlie” Adams; and son-inlaw , Eddie Lawrence.
Mr. Adams was a great story teller and enjoyed rebuilding Volkswagens, building rail buggies anything to do with Volkswagen. He was a World War II Navy veteran. Mr. Adams was retired from Combustion Engineering after 34 years of service. He was a member of Log Cabin Presbyterian Chapel.
Survivors include children, Debbie (David) Foster, James (Margie) Adams, Randy Adams, Janet Lawrence, Terry (Pat) Adams; eleven grandchildren, several great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; and a daughter-inlaw, Carol Adams.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
