Wayne Lewis
Robert Wayne Lewis, 74, of Sale Creek, Tenn., went to Heaven to be with his Savior on April 28, 2018, where he joined his daughter, Michelle Ann Lewis.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, Wayne Lewis and Margaret Eustice along with two brothers, Kit Eustice and Gary Wayne Lewis.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Gail Lewis; and his children, Angela Chambers, David (Pam) Lewis, Paula Lewis Smith and Christy (Josh) Painter; his grandchildren, Becky Higdon, Timmy May, Brandon Chambers, Christopher, Caitlynn, Caleb and Candyce Lewis, Hope Lewis, Ashton and Aidan Smith, Addie, Bentley and Olivia Kate Painter; his great-grandchildren, Cameron May, Landon Chambers, Silas and Samson Ferguson; his siblings, Pete (Penny) Eustice, Kim (Susan) Eustice, Marsha (Norman) Potts, Sharon (Jim) Scealf along with several nieces and nephews.
He was a faithful servant of the Lord with over 40 years in the Ministry which included Evangelizing at the Chattanooga Rescue Mission. Wayne was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. He was a soul winner for the Lord and was loved by all who knew him. He retired from Wheland Foundry.
Visitation is noon to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, May 3, 2018, at Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Combs, Brother Kenneth Conaway and Brother David Lewis officiating. His body will lie-in-state at the church from 1:30 p.m. until the service on Thursday. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Jeremiah, Joey, Rickey, Jerry, Christopher, Timmy, and Brandon.
Honorary pallbearers will be Pete, Kim and Kyle.
