Kerry Richelson

Kerry Todd Richelson, beloved son and father, passed away at his home in Hixson, Tenn., on Sunday, April 29, 2018, from complications of diabetes. He was 38.Born in Chattanooga on May 5, 1979, he was a 1997 graduate of Hixson High School and a member of Hixson United Methodist Church. Kerry currently worked at Sam’s Club and was a long-time employee of Lowe’s in Hixson. A dog-lover who rescued several dogs over the years, his first place of employment was at Middle Valley Animal Hospital. Kerry loved the outdoors, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his son, Jax Richelson; parents, Steve and Sandra Richelson; sister, Courtney Rackley (Kevin); grandmother Freda Warren; nephew, Connor Rackley, niece, Karson Rackley; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Maurice Richelson; grandmother, Joann Richelson; and grandfather, Roy Warren.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Highway 153. Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2018, at the funeral home with Rev. Reed Shell officiating.
