Royce Martin

RINGGOLD — Virgil Royce Martin, 85, passed away May 7, 2018.

Royce was born April 24, 1933, to the late Virgil Sanley and Allie Beatrice Morgan Martin. He was a retired wholesale building material manager at Hugo Schmidt & Co. He was a member of Ringgold First Baptist Church; he taught Sunday school and sang in the church choir. Royce was a member of the Rotary Club in Brandon, Florida and also a volunteer for AARP.

Royce was preceded in death by his son, Wayne Alan Martin.

Survivors are his loving wife of 66 years, Mary Ann Martin; son, David (Heidi) Martin; daughter, Patricia (Reggie) Kirkland; sisters, Harriet Lambert and Mary Alice Bennett; grandchildren, Becky (Mike) Kremkau , Amy (Shayla) Brown, Derek Martin, Hilary (Justin) Cuevas, Dillon Martin; great-grandchildren, Royce and Alice Kremkau and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, May 11, 2018, at Ringgold First Baptist Church with Reverend Eric Kennedy officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choosing.
