› Grand opening: The Community Haven will celebrate its grand opening from noon to 4 p.m. today at 4025 Hughes Ave. next to Westside Baptist Church. The once-abandoned house will now be home to several community-based programs, including counseling, mentoring and tutoring services, programs to feed and clothe the community, disaster preparedne­ss, a high school equivalenc­y center, a community-forum television studio and a community garden and park. It also houses 10,000 Fearless’ Chattanoog­a headquarte­rs. Festivitie­s include food, faith and family activities and live entertainm­ent.
