Historic charm meets modern elegance

- BY BRANDI DIXON

All Chattanoogans have the opportunity to take in the city’s scenic views, but very few have the luxury to come home to them, nonetheless have a view of them from each room.

The scenery isn’t just stunning outside — this early 1900’s home has been renovated to keep its elegance while offering modern upgrades.

“The sellers have made various renovations over the years, including the recently updated kitchen, new hardwood floors on the main level, a newly resurfaced heated gunite pool and the remodeled pool house with second kitchen and a full bath,” said Jay Robinson, with The Robinson Team at Keller Williams Realty. “There is also a separate workshop with another full bath that was once a guest house and could be again if preferred.”

The main home’s foyer gives access to an elevator located under the stairs and opens into an elegant living room, where natural light dances off a crystal chandelier. Beautiful French doors on each side of the brick gas log fireplace lead into the adjacent study with decadent cherry panelled walls.

The formal dining room also features a gas log fireplace and has the space to host multiple guests. It offers easy access to the gourmet kitchen, which boasts granite countertops, custom cabinetry, a kitchen island with a built-in wine cooler, decorative lighting, steam and convection Thermador wall ovens, and plenty of storage.

The master bedroom is on the second floor. The bathroom is connected to an additional bedroom which could be converted into a walk-in closet or used as the perfect nursery. The second floor also houses two additional bedrooms and an office with closet space and access to the elevator. If the family recreation room isn’t enough, there is lots of open space on the third floor for a bonus room or home theater.
