Christ Presbyterian Academy senior and Lipscomb commitment A. Jacks Green added the 2018 Tennessee Junior Amateur championship to his Tennessee Junior PGA and 2017 TSSAA Division II-A state titles with a one-hole victory Thursday at Stones River Country Club at Murfreesboro. That was a playoff against his 36-hole co-leader Matt Copeland of Maryville after Thursday’s scheduled final round was canceled nearly six hours after those two were supposed to tee off. Everyone else left and the two waited for a break in the weather, and Green birdied the first hole with a threefoot putt. He and incoming Wofford College freshman Copeland each totaled 144 the first two days. Cameron Tankersley of Clarksville and Bryce Lewis of Hendersonville tied for third with their 36-hole 145s. Tullahoma’s Jacob Uehlein and Lake Tansi’s Zach Young were in the group tying for 10th at 148, and Cleveland Country Club’s Cade Puryear and Council Fire’s Joe Carter were among those sharing 17th at 151. Cleveland’s Parker Gray tied for 24th at 153.
