Composer Ethan McGrath will present a program of church music for choir and organ, some written during his studies at the University of Cambridge, at 5 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church of Chattanooga, 401 Gateway Ave. A choir, accompanied by organist Joshua Knight, will perform McGrath’s recent setting of “Te Deum,” among other works. McGrath also will play some of his solo organ works including his recent “Pastorale,” written as a going-away present for organist/choir director Keith Reas. Country star Josh Turner will headline this patriotic celebration on July 8 at Abba’s House, 5208 Hixson Pike. Services start at 10:30 a.m. with a tribute to military and first responders.
