Composer Ethan McGrath will present a program of church music for choir and organ, some written during his studies at the University of Cambridge, at 5 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church of Chattanoog­a, 401 Gateway Ave. A choir, accompanie­d by organist Joshua Knight, will perform McGrath’s recent setting of “Te Deum,” among other works. Country star Josh Turner will headline this patriotic celebratio­n on July 8 at Abba’s House, 5208 Hixson Pike. Services start at 10:30 a.m. with a tribute to military and first responders. Then Turner will sing several of his songs before participat­ing in a Q&A session with Lead Pastor Ronnie Phillips and Worship Pastor Ken Hartley.
