Movies under the stars
First Things First continues its free Movies in the Park series with “Moana” on Saturday, July 14, in Coolidge Park, 200 River St. Come early, bring a folding chair, a picnic and enjoy dinner in the park before the movie starts about 9 p.m. For more information: firstthings.org. The East Lake Neighborhood Association is again hosting a free outdoor movie at East Lake Park, 3000 E. 34th St. “Coco” will be shown Friday, July 13, at dusk (about 8:30 p.m.) A concession stand will sell barbecue, tamales, hot dogs, popcorn, sodas and sweets. Bring a chair and settle in for this family-friendly movie, which will be shown with Spanish subtitles.
