FLINTSTONE — Mescal Daniel Keith, 90, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, Aug. 20, 2018.

She was born to the late Thurman “Jeff” and Ina L. Sanders Daniel in Dade Co., was a lifelong resident of North Georgia and was a member of Christian Home Baptist Church.

Mescal retired in 2003 after more than 40 years as a CNA for many local hospitals and hospice of Chattanoog­a. She was a loving mother, grandmothe­r, great-great-grandmothe­r, sister and friend, who will be greatly missed.

Mescal was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Marvin Keith; daughter, Deborah Caroline Keith; brothers, Thurman Daniel, Prentice Daniel, Marcus Lowe Daniel; and five other sisters and brothers.

She is survived by her children, June (Raymond) Johnson, Jane (Jackie) Busby, Janice (Neil) DeFriese, Thomas M. (JoAnn) Keith, Jr., Tim (Lee) Keith and Tony (Debbie) Keith; brother, Alton Ray Daniel; 17 grandchild­ren; 36 great-grandchild­ren; 10 great-great-grandchild­ren; special caregiver and honorary family member, Constance Billingsle­y; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 26, 2018, in the funeral home chapel, with Bro. Rickey Gravley officiatin­g. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memorial Gardens-South.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday and prior to the service on Sunday.
