KEEPS IT COOL

COOL CLASSICS

Ice cream season is winding down, but sultry Southern afternoons still have Dari Dip patrons craving dishes that are light and refreshing. Why not try one of the restaurant’s cooler recipes? In addition to its frozen sweet treats, Dari Dip’s menu boasts a number of options such as salads and seafood platters. There are the chicken salad or tuna salad cold plates, the crabcake or clam strip platters, or the catfish or tilapia dinners.

WHAT’S NEW?

Dari Dip’s menu is built on classic country cuisine, but father-son co-owners Don and Donald Benton know there is always room for novelty. Recently, Dari Dip added a spanking-new dish to the tried-and-true menu: Polish sausage, served with the diner’s choice of peppers and onions or sauerkraut, and choice of two side dishes.

“It’s something different, and people have really enjoyed it,” said Don.

STAY TUNED!

While the Scenic City looks forward to fall, the Bentons are already looking toward the holiday season — when business will bustle with Thanksgiving Day to-go orders and in-house holiday parties. Dari Dip’s private banquet hall can comfortably accommodate 40, and the restaurant is already taking reservations.

It’s never too early to plan, said Don — just like it’s never too late to savor an end-of-summer sweet treat from Dari Dip.
