MOCS GAME IN BITS & PIECES

-

SATURDAY’S STAR

Tyrell Price topped the 100-yard rushing mark for the first time in his UTC career, finishing with 118 yards on 22 carries and two scores while adding 22 yards receiving. His final run, a 40-yarder, put the game out of reach in the fourth quarter.

SATURDAY’S STAT

Bryce Nunnelly finished with 117 yards receiving on eight catches, becoming the first Moc to top 100 yards receiving in three consecutive games since Blue Cooper in 2009.

TURNING POINT

The Skyhawks drove downfield in the second quarter with a chance to cut UTC’s lead to 13-7. Dresser Winn’s pass in the end zone was intercepted by Kareem Orr, who returned it out to the 30-yard line. The Mocs would score on that drive to go up 20-0.

HIGHLIGHT PLAY

On Price’s final touchdown, he took a handoff and followed fullback Torrez Finney going to his right before cutting to his left, breaking a few tackles and sprinting 40 yards for a touchdown that put the Mocs up 34-17 in the fourth quarter.

WHAT IT MEANS

The Mocs are 3-0 with all wins coming against Division I competition for the first time since 1979. In backto-back weeks, they’ve gone on the road and beat The Citadel and UTM, both of which defeated UTC in 2017. They’re unblemished with an outside chance of being ranked in the Top 25.
