Breaking down the Pac-12
1. Washington (2-1): Senior Jake Browning has 82 touchdown passes, one shy of joining the Top 10 list in Pac-12 history.
2. Stanford (3-0): Has allowed 23 points in three games, the only team in NCAA giving up less than eight per contest.
3. Oregon (3-0): No. 20 Ducks have won 23 of last 25 games as a ranked team at Autzen Stadium.
4. Colorado (3-0): Buffaloes have started 3-0 in consecutive seasons for the first time since 1994-95.
5. Utah (2-1): Leads the nation in total defense (204.7 ypg), pass defense (93.0 ypg) and pass efficiency defense (75.62).
6. California (3-0): Second-year coach Justin Wilcox moves over .500 at 8-7, including a 6-0 mark in nonconference games.
7. Washington State (3-0): Gets an extra day to prepare to host Utah on Sept. 29 following Friday game at USC.
8. USC (2-1): Capacity at L.A. Coliseum for home games reduced by about 14,000 to 78,467 due to renovations this season.
9. Arizona State (2-1): Has not allowed a point in the first quarter this season while scoring 21 points. 10. UCLA (0-3): Father of freshman QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson went on Twitter to bemoan “lousy coaching and play calling.”
11. Arizona (1-2): Khalil Tate had career high in passing yards in back-to-back games, 341 followed by 349.
12. Oregon State (1-2): In 37-35 loss at Nevada, Beavers had two receivers with at least 10 catches for the first time since 2008.
