FOOTBALL GIVEAWAYS

-

If Diamond Billiard Club’s ever-evolving menu doesn’t pull you in, then perhaps its prizes will.

“We like to keep things fresh,” said General Manager Jesse Howard.

And that creative drive is reflected in Diamond’s regular menu revamps. Earlier this month, the restaurant rolled out its latest iteration, with the addition of new recipes such as the bacon-wrapped quarter-pound hot dog, topped with slaw, smoked pork, smoked cheddar and barbecue sauce; and the chili cheese quarter-pound hot dog. The menu now also offers chicken potpie and a creative take on the egg roll.

“I like to call it ‘hillbilly sushi,’” Jesse said of the egg roll recipe, which is made with Buffalo chicken, pulled pork, red onions, cheddar cheese and bacon.

Following the release of its revamped menu, Diamond is refocusing its attention on football. While screening both college and NFL games, Diamond is offering a bevy of giveaways and beer specials. Throughout the season, patrons are invited to put their names into a hat. Then, periodically, Diamond is hosting giveaways during Saturday Tennessee Vols games for prizes such as canopy tents and coolers.

Yet everyone’s a winner at Diamond on Saturdays, when the restaurant offers $7 Miller Lite pitchers, $2 Bud Light bottles and 75-cent wings.

Then, on Sundays, it showcases $2 Bud Light bottles and a $5 burger-and-fries special.

But if the new menu and potential for prize winning fail to pull you in, Diamond also makes platters for taking to-go.

“Call the bar for details,” said Jesse. “I always give good deals on 100-plus wing orders.”
