Elect Landrum, Lusk, Murdock

-

The Signal Mountain Town Council has faced multiple requests to rezone residential properties to commercial. Thus far, our citizens have been able to halt these rezones. What about next time?

We must elect town council candidates committed to protecting Signal’s smalltown character, quality of life and natural beauty. For this reason, I am voting for Dan Landrum, Bill Lusk and Susannah Murdock.

Dan believes in transparency and citizen involvement. He has worked diligently using technology to live-stream and record council meetings. He has repeatedly fought for fair process and fiscal responsibility.

Bill wants to ensure future spending doesn’t outpace revenue and believes the town should have a reliable rainy-day fund again. As a council member, he was instrumental in restricting commercial truck traffic, rebuilding the town’s relationship with TDOT and protecting our parks.

Susannah worked passionately to defeat the rezone of a residential neighborhood to accommodate a Food City. She supports a citizen-led sustainable plan that would result in smart, controlled growth for the mountaintop.

Please join me in voting for these candidates. They will listen to us, look to the future and make decisions that will ensure our quality of life. Susan Robertson Signal Mountain
