› Cold-weather shelter: The Salvation Army is seeking assistance with overnight shelters for the homeless for below freezing temperatur­es Operating cost is about $300 per night, which is not included in the agency’s budget. Donations of coats, blankets and money are accepted at 822 McCallie Ave. Monetary donations may be made online at www.csarmy.org or by calling 1-800-SAL-ARMY.

› Heavenly Homemade & Vendor Fair:

The Women’s Ministry of First Baptist Church of Fort Oglethorpe, 2645 LaFayette Road, will host a Heavenly Homemade & Vendor Fair in the fellowship hall 9 a.m.4 p.m. today. Items include homemade crafts, baked goods and merchandis­e from local vendors. Proceeds support the Women’s Ministry’s Free To Be campaign and missions. Contact: Laura Jones, 423-605-1816.
