Good food & family
Twenty-plus years of home-style cooking experience comes in handy for Countryside Cafe this time of year.
Yes, for Countryside Cafe, ‘tis the season for round-theclock preparation of holiday to-go orders. Turkeys, trimmings and pies — the cafe does it all. Although the deadline to place large orders has passed, cafe owner Marlene Geren said the restaurant may be able to accommodate a few last-minute orders of its yummy casseroles and pies for people who call soon.
Or join Countryside the day before Thanksgiving, when it will serve turkey and dressing
— and all the traditional holiday trimmings — for lunch and dinner.
“We cook all our veggies from scratch so we know what’s in them, from the sweet potato casserole to the homemade vegetable soup,” Marlene assured.
But, after 20-plus years’ experience, Countryside also knows that mealtime is about so much more than just ingredients. That’s why the restaurant recently introduced its Monday night “put your phones away and enjoy dinner with the family” theme.
“We’ll be offering coloring pages for kids and parents,” said Marlene. “Come enjoy good food, good service and good conversations!”
Yes, ‘tis the season for home-cooking and for family. Countryside Cafe specializes in both.
