Join a Thanksgiving run/walk before you gobble ’til you wobble
Make room for today’s big meal by running or walking in either the Grateful Gobbler or Turkey Trot — two Thanksgiving Day traditions.
Or, ease your conscience about how much food you’ll indulge in today knowing you’ll work it off in the Hungry Turkey 5K on Saturday, Nov. 24.
All three events will do you — and their nonprofit beneficiaries — some good.

The 19th annual Grateful Gobbler Walk benefits the Maclellan Shelter for Families on East 11th Street, which offers 68 beds for homeless families. The shelter provides a stable environment for families to remain together as they search for permanent housing.
Walkers will gather in Coolidge Park for festivities that start at 7 a.m. before the walk steps off at 8 o’clock. Runners will be released first, then walkers.
Want to participate but there is just too much to get done at home before guests arrive? Be a “sleep walker” or a “virtual walker” by making a $20 donation.
