Fugitive was wanted for sexual assault of girl, 11
Jacky Wayne Bean, wanted in Hamilton County for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor and arrested last week in Franklin County, Tennessee, has been booked into the Hamilton County Jail.
Bean, 34, is accused of assaulting an 11-year-old girl while he was supposed to be taking her to see her older sister, according to Hamilton County court documents.
Hamilton County sheriff’s deputies were called to a home in Soddy-Daisy at around 9 p.m. on June 17 and spoke with a woman who said Bean, who was a close friend, had taken the girl to meet her older sister in Red Bank at around 7 p.m. but never showed up and hadn’t returned.
The woman and other close friends searched for Bean and the girl for over two hours before she was finally found at another woman’s house, court records state.
There, the girl told deputies that Bean took her on a “long ride,” and instead of going to see her sister, Bean took her to a piece of property near the Jones Gap road area.
After briefly walking around the property, the girl told deputies that Bean pushed the girl down on the seat of his truck and assaulted her.
She fought back, screaming. Bean stopped and told her he’d hurt her if she didn’t stop screaming and would kill her if she told anyone, court records state.
The girl talked Bean into dropping her off where she was found, she told deputies. As soon as he dropped her off, he drove away.
Bean had been serving probation for his role in a deadly 2017 Grundy County, Tennessee, officer-involved shooting at the time, and had been out of jail for only five weeks.
He fled toward the Sequatchie County area and was eventually apprehended in Franklin County late Thursday night.
He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail late Friday night.
