One of two suspects have been arrested in connection to Sunday morning’s shooting that left 25-year-old Rigoberto Jarquin dead inside a Douglas Heights apartment.

Omerrieal Woods, 29, was apprehended Monday evening by local and federal authorities.

He is charged with facilitation of firstdegree murder and two counts of attempted first-degree murder and is in custody at the Hamilton County Jail.

Police are still searching for Woods’ brother, 26-year-old Toddie Woods. He is described as a 5-foot-10-inch, 170-pound black man with brown eyes and black hair. He also faces charges of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted first-degree murder.

Police had been called to the apartment complex, located at 930 Douglas St., just before 4 a.m. on a report of multiple persons shot. Two others, a 20-year-old man and a 23-year-old man, were injured and taken to a local hospital. The names of the victims who survived have not been released.

Investigators are pursuing several leads generated from interviews and evidence obtained from the property management company, the news release states.

Police believe the shooting is an isolated incident.
