Grammy winner Alessia Cara singing at Hamilton Place today
Grammy Awardwinner Alessia Cara will perform a short acoustic show today, Aug. 1, at Hamilton Place, 2100 Hamilton Place Blvd.
Her exclusive appearance at the mall is part of Second Chance Summer presented by 103.7 Kiss FM and Hamilton Place.
Cara won a 2018 Grammy for Best New Artist, making her the first Canadian to win that award. She has most recently been opening for Shawn Mendes on his European and American tour.
Last month, the singer announced the release of an upcoming EP, “This Summer,” with tracks from it to be issued every couple of weeks leading up to its release. The first single, “Ready,” dropped July 22.
Joining the singer at the mall will be actress Meg Donnelly, whom fans will recognize as Taylor Otto in the ABC sitcom “American Housewife” and as Addison in the Disney Channel movie “Zombies.”
This afternoon’s appearance will begin at 3 p.m. with a meet-and-greet for radio listeners who won passes from Kiss FM.
Donnelly will take the mall’s Center Court stage at 3:45 p.m. to open the show before Cara comes onstage about 4:10 p.m. for a free acoustic performance and question-and-answer session with the audience.
Cara will pull a winner onstage to receive tickets to meet her and Mendes Friday at their Nashville show. Guests can register to win at the concert.
The celebrities will depart the mall by 5 p.m.
