Tennessee Brew Works, Green|spaces and Hand Family Companies have teamed up with some of Chattanooga’s vibrant bars, restaurants and even a hostel to celebrate and benefit Tennessee state parks with the Great Chattanooga Urban Hike on Saturday, Aug. 17.

“This event is a great opportunity to see some awesome Chattanooga bars, enjoy Tennessee-made craft beer and raise money for our state parks at the same time,” says Austin Sawyer, Hand Family Companies’ director of craft beer.

The hike (or pub crawl) will feature Tennessee Brew Works’ 100% Tennessee grain State Park Blonde Ale, which benefits Tennessee’s 56 state parks.

The Great Chattanooga Urban Hike will begin at 5 p.m. at Feed Co. Table & Tavern, 201 W. Main St., then moves on to Hi-Fi Clyde’s, 122 W. Main St. at 6 p.m., then Slick’s Burgers, 309 W. Main St. at 7 p.m.

From there, the urban hike moves further into the Southside neighborhood to Flying Squirrel, 55 Johnson St., at 8 p.m., then The Crash Pad, 29 Johnson St., at 9 p.m. The hike concludes with a free concert by Behold the Brave at The Crash Pad.

The three sponsoring companies will have representatives handing out door prizes. At each location, participants will receive raffle tickets for a chance to win the grand prize: a free weekend stay at the Tennessee state park of their choice, plus a case of Tennessee Brew Works beer and swag basket. The winner will be announced at The Crash Pad.

The hike is free; however, each participating venue will offer special promotions to encourage food and beverage purchases.
