JASPER - With her family at her side, the Lord took the hand of Betty Jane Condra Kilgore, age of 79 years old, to lead her to her heavenly home on Thursday, June 4, 2020.

Betty Jane was born on April 27, 1941 to her parents, John Willis and Martha Bryant Condra. Betty was born in Jasper, TN and after many years of being a military wife and mother living in various places, she made her way back to Jasper, TN. Betty Jane was of the Baptist faith and had been a member of the Castle Rock Baptist Church in Jasper, TN. Betty Jane was a loving and devoted mother, grandmothe­r and great-grandmothe­r. She loved her family dearly and each one had a special place in her heart. Her mission in life was serving her Lord, loving her family along with her dear friends. In her spare time, she enjoyed coloring in “Adult Coloring Books”, crafts, painting, making jewelry and any other hobby that kept her hands busy.

She was employed at Rivermont Nursing Home as a certified Nursing Assistant until her retirement. She was the owner of the Cedar Grove Consignmen­t Store in Jasper, TN for numerous years.

Betty Jane is preceded in death by husband, John L. Kilgore; her parents, John and Martha Condra; sons, Johnny Lee Kilgore and Douglas Allen Kilgore; daughter, Rose Kilgore; brother, John “Burr” Condra and sisters, Lydia Diane Kilgore and Barbara Dale Parker.

Those left to cherish her memories are her sons, Bryan (Tina) K. Kilgore and Michael Anthony Kilgore; grandsons that were like her own sons, Travis (Melissa) Houston and Jamey (Brandy) Creekmore; daughters, Gloria (Wendell) Haggard and Susie (Marcus) Crabtree; brother, Jimmy (Patricia) Condra along with several grandchild­ren, great-grandchild­ren, nieces, nephews and cherished friends.

The family will have a private visitation on Saturday, June 6, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, TN.
