Colin Michael Griffin, 17, unexpected­ly passed away at his home on July 15, 2020. Colin leaves behind his parents, Amy Griffin, Patrick Griffin and Pamala Griffin of Hixson, TN. He also leaves behind his grandparen­ts, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many loving friends.

Colin was a rising senior at Hixson High School. He was a Cadet Captain in the Air Force JROTC. Colin was a member of the Hixson High School Marching Band where he played the trumpet. His love for history led him to become a Civil War Re-enactor. Colin was an avid volunteer for community service.

Colin enjoyed music, playing video games, hanging out with friends, watching sports, and going to the shooting range.

Colin was a loving son, a devoted friend, and will be missed forever.

In Tribute to Colin, the family will receive friends on Saturday, August 1st from 2 pm to 6 pm at Chattanoog­a Funeral Home North Chapel, Hixson. Inurnment will be in Chattanoog­a National Cemetery on Monday, August 3rd at 10:30 am. We respectful­ly request that social distancing and all CDC Covid-19 measures be adhered to, both at the funeral home and the cemetery. Masks will be required.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributi­ons to Hixson AFJROTC or Hixson High School Marching Band in Colin’s honor. Make check payable to Hixson High School. In the Memo, put “In Memory of Colin Griffin” and indicate if it is for AFJROTC or Marching Band. Donations may be mailed or hand delivered to the school or to the family.

Arrangemen­ts are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanoog­a Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson. Please share your thoughts and memories.
