RINGGOLD - Sara Elizabeth Gillespie, age 32, entered eternal peace received by her heavenly father, on Saturday July 18, 2020.

Sara’s personalit­y was magnetical­ly lovable and she could light up any room. Her smile and laugh were contagious and she could always bring laughter. Her free spirit drove many passions.

Sara’s passion for music began at a young age. She began playing the piano at age five and continued to educate herself on many instrument­s including oboe, mallet instrument­s, and later the guitar. She enjoyed her time with the Ringgold High School Marching Tiger Band and Symphonic bands. She loved to sing and raise her voice in praise to the Lord. Her passions also included caring for people, especially the elderly, where she displayed her heart working as a CNA.

Sara is survived by her children Briley Cropper and Callie Gillespie, parents Michael and Sonya Howard, sister Hannah (Matthew) Swain, brother Zachariah Vaughn, grandmothe­rs Jeanette Dupree, Aiko Slaughter, uncle Bryan Dupree, aunt Vanessa (Stanley) Grell, nephews Levi, Gabreil, Benjamin Swain, cousins Noah, Ava, Alexa Grell and special friends Tim and Sharon Langston.

She was preceded in death by her beloved poppy, Raymond Dupree, and infant sister Lindsay Howard.

The family will receive friends at First Baptist Church Fort Oglethorpe on July 25th from 9:00-11:00am with a memorial service to follow at 11:30am. Internment at Lakewood Memorial Gardens South.
