Meagen Cox

Meagen Leigh Shelton Cox, age 35, of Chattanooga passed away Saturday, July 25, 2020 at her home.

She was born October 12, 1984 in Chattanooga and attended Ooltewah High School. Meagen was a member of Georgetown Baptist Church. Meagen will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her son, Hayden Shelton; grandparents, Lonnie & Kat Smith and June Shelton;

Survivors include her children, Landen Stephens and Addyson Cox; mother, Tina Renee’ Shelton; father, Robert “Bud” Shelton; grandfather, Robert “Bob” Shelton; sister, Morgan (Ryne) Shumaker; uncle, Mack (Julie) Smith; aunts, Susie (Charlie) Abernathy, Kim (Michael) Evers and Robin (Jerry) Harris; nephew, Walker Shumaker; and several cousins.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 pm on Thursday, July 30, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

Funeral services will follow at 8 pm on Thursday at the North Chapel with Tim Ledford officiating.

Interment will be held at 1 pm on Friday, at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
