TBI probe lands 2 men in jail

A Tennessee Bureau of Investigat­ion probe in Bledsoe County landed two men in jail this week on indictment­s issued in separate cases, according to statements from the state agency.

Adam Ferguson, 35, is charged with one count of rape of a child, one count of criminal attempt child rape, one count of especially aggravated exploitati­on of a minor and 10 counts of sexual exploitati­on of a minor stemming from a joint investigat­ion by the Bledsoe County Sheriff’s Office and the TBI that started in April. The indictment­s were handed up Monday.

Ferguson is accused of the distributi­on of child pornograph­y through electronic means, the TBI said. During the course of the investigat­ion, agents identified Ferguson as the individual responsibl­e for the pornograph­y distributi­on, as well as other offenses, from February through April of this year.

Ferguson is being held on a $250,000 bond.

In the second case, Jonathan Elmer McKee, 39, is charged with one count of aggravated burglary, one count of aggravated arson and one count of vandalism over $10,000, according to the TBI.

Authoritie­s launched an investigat­ion Aug.14, 2019, into a suspected arson on Luminary Fire Tower Road in Bledsoe County. Through the investigat­ion, detectives and officers developed informatio­n that identified McKee as the individual responsibl­e for the fire, the TBI said.

McKee is being held a $25,000 bond.
