Robert Harrell Milligan passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, August 8, 2020. His loving wife of 30 years, Andrea, was by his side as he left us.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Effie Tuten Milligan and Donald Deck Milligan, and his adopted daughter Donna Kay Milligan.

Robert is survived by his wife, Andrea Huddleston Milligan, his adopted sons, Danny Mac Stutz and Harold Lee Milligan, his stepchildr­en, Lynda Holmes Pickett and Robert Terrance Holmes, his daughter-in-law Juanita Rosie Haywood, and four step grandchild­ren, Alicia Dawn Pickett (Kevin), Jonathon David Pickett, Brittany Henry (Dustin) and Brooke Henry, as well as two step great grandchild­ren, Kaiden and Cooper. Bob is also survived by his best friend of 30 years, Jimmy Wayne Masengale. He will forever be loved by those of us left behind.

Bob was born and raised in Chattanoog­a and loved this city and its history. He worked for IBM, DuPont, Kmart, Advanced Auto Parts, was self-employed, and ended his work life as supervisor of computer operations at Blue Cross Blue Shield of TN. He also served as a Chattanoog­a Reserve Police Officer for 15 years. He was a man of honor and he had a large heart that not all got to see. He took care of those he loved with quiet reserve. His loss leaves a large hole in our lives.

There will be no receiving of friends or services due to health concerns from COVID. A small private graveside service was held for family on Wednesday, August 12, 2020.

A memorial service will be held in the future once the health concerns are over.
